In this class, I show you how to draw watercolor leaves in Procreate. Once you know about shading and shapes we will extract the leaves with a watercolor background and export it.
Get a first impression of what you will learn in this class about creating watercolor leaves in Procreate.
For this class, we need some watercolor brushes and a watercolor canvas for Procreate. We will import both into Procreate
We will head over to Pinterest to create a board where we add some watercolor leaves. We will need these images to find colors and get inspired by the different shapes leaves have
We will use one of the images as an inspiration to collect colors for our color palette.
Let's get familiar with the watercolor brushes. Even if you use others do your exercises to get used to them.
Now we draw our first watercolor leaf and you also learn about shading and using the selection and feather tool to change hue and saturisation.
Now I show you how to select your watercolor leaf and cut it out with the watercolor background. Our work isn't done though. We need to clean up the edges and draw many more leaves to have an entire set for sale.
