Mini Waffles Hat

Introducing an alluring hat with captivating all-over texture! The fine waffle stitch creates a cozy warmth without adding weight, making it a versatile wardrobe essential. For extra fun, you can choose to make it in one color or two colors. Two sets of instructions are included, one for 5ply sport weight yarn and another for 4ply fingering weight yarn. Additionally, a chart has been provided for the crown section.

When selecting colors for your hat, keep in mind that the main yarn will have a more prominent presence due to the slip stitch pattern. By simply reversing the colors used in each section, you can create two distinct-looking hats (refer to the bottom right photo for reference).

The pattern requires approximately 270 yards of 5ply sport weight wool/merino or 300 yards of 4ply fingering weight yarn. For two-color versions, the main color (MC) will use about 2/3 of the total yardage, while the contrasting color (CC) will use approximately 1/3 of the total yardage.

To complete the hat, you will need 3.5mm and 4.5mm needles for the sport weight version, or 3mm and 3.5mm needles for the fingering weight option. Circular needles with 40cm cables are recommended, along with double-pointed needles or a longer cable for the crown section. The size is designed to fit most adults and teens, and the height can be easily adjusted to suit personal preference.
